About
Cricket stats built for local, street and club cricket
1. What is StatBat?
StatBat is a cricket scoring and statistics app made for the games that never make it onto a scoreboard — street cricket, tape-ball matches, office games and small club tournaments. It lets you score a match ball by ball, keep a permanent record of every player and team, and see how everyone is actually performing over time.
It is built to be fast enough to use with one thumb while a match is going on, and complete enough to run a full tournament from first fixture to final.
2. What you can do
- Create players and teams, with photos, roles, batting and bowling styles, and squads.
- Schedule matches and get a reminder before they start.
- Score ball by ball — extras, wickets, retirements, super overs and undo.
- Run tournaments with round robin, group or knockout fixtures and live standings.
- Track career and format-wise batting and bowling statistics.
- Compare players and teams on the rankings leaderboards.
3. It works offline, and stays on your device
StatBat needs no account and no sign-up. Everything you create is stored in a database on your own device, and none of it is uploaded to a server. You can score an entire match in a ground with no signal at all.
The app does reach the internet for two things — the advertisements that pay for it, and a crash report when something goes wrong. Neither of them carries your cricket data. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what each one sends.
Because your records live only on your device, uninstalling the app or erasing your data removes them permanently. There is no backup and nothing for us to restore.
4. Free, and paid for by advertisements
StatBat costs nothing to use. There is no subscription and nothing locked behind a payment — every feature is there from the moment you install it.
What pays for building it and keeping it running are the advertisements shown inside the app, supplied by Google AdMob. They need an internet connection, so on a ground with no signal you simply will not see them.
