What BudgetEase is for

Most money apps want to connect to your bank. This one does not. BudgetEase is for writing down what you actually earn and spend, in your own words, and then being able to see where it went.

It works the way a paper notebook does — you record it, so you know it is right — with the arithmetic done for you.

What you can do

• Record income and spending, and keep them in separate budgets
• Track money you have lent, borrowed, paid back or been repaid
• Put money aside and see what is in savings
• See charts and totals for any day, month, year or custom range
• Export any period to Excel and keep it wherever you like
• Share a single transaction as an image or a PDF
• Write notes, pin the ones that matter, and colour them
• Restore anything you deleted by mistake, for up to 30 days
• Lock the whole app behind a PIN

If you sell things

Turn on Sales & Profit in the More menu and a Sales tab appears. Keep a list of what you sell, record stock as you buy it, and record each sale at the price you actually settled on — because in a real shop that price is rarely the same twice.

The app works out what each item costs you from what you have paid for it, so you can see what you are really making. Your shop's money is kept as a separate book and never touches your personal budgets.

It works completely offline

There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Everything you record is stored on your device, which means it works on a train, on a plane, and on a phone with no data left.

It also means nothing you enter is ever sent to us — we could not see it if we wanted to. The other side of that bargain is that there is no backup: if you want a copy of your records, export one.
